For its 2012 spring summer collection, designer Stefano Pilati stayed true to the YSL house codes, repeating the now classic combination of navy and black. With references to design codes from sportswear and workwear on collar, hemlines and pockets, the silhouettes are utterly urban and modern, in a very functional and easy-wear spirit.
In plain shades of blue, black and beige, the jackets, trench coats and trousers are the key items of the collection. Finally a touch of exotic patterns reminds us of Mr. Saint Laurent's North-African roots. A true stylistic composition in between luxury and sobriety.
